Red Kite children are inquisitive, resilient and hard working. We embrace a challenge and celebrate when we make mistakes; how else would we know we were learning?! Mrs Tucker and Miss Griffiths are always here to help.
We are incredibly lucky to have some amazing topics this year. First, we dive into World War 2 and become evacuees; then we visit North America to learn about the countries and cultures there. We find out about the history of the British Empire and learn all about rivers. We all get the opportunity to go on a residential trip at Caythorpe where you can test your bravery on the high ropes or your teamwork skills with raft building. To top it all off we then put on a fabulous end of year production.
Did you know that the Red Kite was once an endangered bird? It was saved from extinction by one of the world's longest-running protection programmes. This magnificently graceful bird of prey is unmistakable with its reddish-brown body, angled wings and deeply forked tail. Our Red Kite’s in school are unmistakable for their excellent behaviour, manners and hard-working attitude.
