Our School

We are able to draw on the expertise of a range of services, including doctors, speech therapists, and medical workers. Advice is also taken from an educational psychologist.
So that we can best meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs within each class we work hard to match the work set to the capabilities of all children.
Whenever possible we use additional adults, teachers and teaching assistants, to work with children in smaller groups. Specific intervention strategies are used to support the learning of children who require additional support.
We endeavour to work closely with parents. Regular parent consultation meetings provide opportunities to talk about pupil passports and to discuss ways parents and school can work together to provide the best education for the children. We challenge the able and support those with difficulties. We value the wellbeing of each child.
It is recognised that children should be educated in a way which enables them to work at the highest level possible with their ability and interest, both for the good of others and for their own satisfaction.
